As international travel becomes more available to New Zealanders and the impact of COVID-19 dissipates, Qatar Airways is offering discounted airfares to encourage Kiwis back into the sky.
The Doha-based airline is offering a discount of up to 10 percent on flights booked out of Auckland to nearly 40 destinations around the world, for bookings made before April 12 on travel dates up to the end of January, 2023.
To receive the discount, customers must be members of Qatar Airways' Privilege Club - which is free to join - and use the code FLYAKL22 when booking.
Depending on the type of airfare booked, the discount applied will be either 10 or 7 percent.
The discount code can be used more than once during the sale period, but can't be used in conjunction with other promotions. The discount is also not applied to taxes and surcharges.
It can be used on Qatar Airways operated flights to the following destinations:
- Europe: Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Berlin, Budapest, Copenhagen, Dublin, Edinburgh, Frankfurt, Istanbul, London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Manchester, Milan, Munich, Mykonos, Oslo, Paris, Prague, Rome, Santorini, Stockholm, Warsaw, Zagreb and Zurich.
- Africa: Cape Town, Cairo, Durban and Johannesburg.
- Middle East: Doha, Beirut, Tehran, Amman, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
- Pakistan: Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi.
- India: Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Ahmedabad and Cochin.
The offer from Qatar Airways comes days after Jetstar announced discounted airfares out of Auckland, signalling that competition is heating up in the air travel market - which should mean cheaper travel for Kiwis.
