Film buffs in Aotearoa will have a chance to stay in an iconic location throughout the month of August, with the mansion from The Godfather available on Airbnb.
Built in 1930, the property features plenty of summertime activities and amenities, including a large saltwater pool, a pub in the basement and a gym.
The 550m2 home has undergone renovations since it appeared in the famous film, for which Marlon Brando won the Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of Mafia patriarch Don Vito Corleone.
However, the mansion retains its recognisable exterior despite the updated modern look inside.
Up to five guests will be able to stay for the month in the house, which is normally a family home.
"Guests will have private access to the grandeur of our mansion, including five bedrooms and seven bathrooms that are most suitable for two adults and three children," the listing states.
"We also have plenty of activities and amenities onsite, including a large saltwater pool, a pub in the basement, a game room, and a gym."
All spaces, except the closets in the basement and attic, are available for use, the owners said.
"This is our family home so please read through the house rules carefully before you request to book. We're located in a quiet neighbourhood, so please, no outside or additional guests at any time."
The good news is that guests won't need to pack their own cleaning materials. Scheduled house cleaners will scrub the house every Thursday, while pool cleaners will come twice a week to make sure it's fine to swim in. Landscapers will see to the large garden too.
The chance to book begins next Thursday morning at 5am (NZ time) - so anyone interested will have to get up early to stand a chance.
According to the website, the mansion will cost NZ$81 per night, which seems like a bargain. Guests will have to pay for their own travel to and from Staten Island in the US, where the mansion is located.
