Jetstar has announced a 24-hour Black Friday sale with more than 10,000 airfares around New Zealand and Australia at discounted prices.
Domestic fares start at $33 in the sale for Auckland-Christchurch flights - reduced to $29 for Club Jetstar members - while the cheapest trans-Tasman deal is Christchurch-Melbourne for $139.
Travel dates vary per route but include late January through to the end of October 2023.
Before buying, customers should carefully check the fares and full conditions. The cheapest advertised fares are one-way and do not include checked in baggage.
The sale is a good sign of airfares getting cheaper again in 2023 as the travel industry continues to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and competition heats up.
Earlier this month, Air Canada restarted its Auckland-Vancouver direct service and next week Emirates is bringing back the world's largest passenger airliner to recommence its daily Auckland-Dubai service after a nearly 1000-day hiatus.
Jetstar's Black Friday Fare Frenzy fares include:
- Auckland to Christchurch from $33
- Auckland to Dunedin from $45
- Auckland to Wellington from $33
- Auckland to Queenstown from $52
- Christchurch to Wellington from $29
- Wellington to Queenstown from $38
- Christchurch to Melbourne (Tullamarine) from $139.
