Singapore's Changi Airport is once again the best airport in the world, according to the annual ranking by Skytrax.
The Southeast Asian travel hub previously topped the list for eight consecutive years, but in 2021 and 2022 was beaten by Qatar's Hamad International Airport, which this year has fallen to number two.
Auckland International Airport is 51st on the list ahead of the only other New Zealand placing, Christchurch, at number 100.
Skytrax is a UK-based air travel review and ranking site that compiles its list by surveying travellers from across the world and asking them to rate their airport experience.
Tokyo's Haneda comes in third place this year as the first of three Japanese airports in the top 20, ahead of Kansai and Narita.
Changi boasts a spectacular 40m indoor waterfall, a butterfly garden and an IMAX cinema as well as more than 280 retail and dining outlets. Its CEO Lee Seow Hiang said the airport is "honoured to be named World's Best Airport for the 12th time".
"This recognition is great encouragement to our airport community, who stood firmly together to battle the challenges of COVID-19 over the past two years. We thank them for their dedication to serve Changi's passengers and the perseverance to keep Singapore connected to the world," said Hiang.
"To our passengers, we are deeply grateful for your vote of confidence. Your continued support encourages us... we look forward to welcoming everyone to Changi Airport as we rediscover the magic of travel again."
Melbourne Airport, which is ranked the 19th best in the world, also won the regional awards for Best Airport in Australia & Pacific and the Best Airport Staff in Australia & Pacific.
Changi also picked up World's Best Airport Dining and World's Best Airport Leisure Amenities, Hamad won World's Best Airport Shopping, and Haneda was crowned World's Cleanest Airport.
