Air New Zealand has launched a Grabaseat sale with 25,000 airfares on sale across all of its 80 domestic routes starting at $54 each way.
The 'last-minute' sale tickets are for flights throughout May and June.
Air NZ competes primarily with Jetstar on domestic routes and the sale is a good sign of increased competition as the airline industry recovers from the impacts of COVID-19.
The 'Grab life by the seat' sale opened today and runs until 11:59pm on Sunday, May 7, unless sold out prior.
As with any sale, potential customers should carefully check the conditions of the sale airfares before purchasing a ticket.
"It's the perfect time to embrace those impulsive travel thoughts and book a late-minute wintery South Island escape, explore our biggest cities, or even head to some of our best wineries in Marlborough or Hawke's Bay," said Air NZ General Manager Domestic Iain Walker.
"The low fare frenzy features great prices across New Zealand. We anticipate tickets will fly out the door and encourage customers to jump on board early if they don't want to miss out."
