Jetstar is running a promotion to celebrate its 14th year in Aotearoa that will give one winner a year's worth of free flights, so long as they take a parent with them on each trip.
The prize includes 12 domestic flights and six international flights for up to three people - the winner and one or two of their parents or parental figures.
The 'fly like you're 14' competition is open until 11:59pm, June 2 and to enter people have to tag Jetstar in an Instagram post of "a throwback family holiday picture".
Currently the primary competitor to Air New Zealand for domestic flights within Aotearoa, Jetstar has run several sales over the past year with cheap airfares both around the country and across the Tasman. Cathay Pacific, Fiji Airways, Qatar Airways and Air NZ have also recently run sales.
Jetstar conducted a survey of New Zealand travellers ahead of the promotion that found two thirds of them stopped going on holiday with their parents after turning 18.
Actor and 7 Days comedian Josh Thompson features in the campaign, along with his Timaru-based father, after the pair starred together in video series Subject: Dad which centred around the 83-year-old's peculiar emails.
The pair recently travelled to the Gold Coast with each other with Jetstar to promote the 'fly like you're 14' campaign.
"Dad did not disappoint with his vast array of money belts and neck pillows, nor did he hold back on awkward chats with any and all staff along the way," Josh said.
"But it all makes for better memories. Plus he slipped me a cheeky $20 to buy myself something nice."
More information including full terms and conditions on the competition are available on Jetstar NZ's Instagram account.
