A Boeing plane has been forced to make an emergency landing in New York after one of the aircraft's emergency slides fell off.
Delta Airlines flight 520 departed JFK International Airport bound for LA on Friday morning (local time).
However, about an hour into the flight, the crew declared an emergency and turned back to New York.
There were reports of a vibration coming from the plane.
After landing, it was found an emergency slide had "separated from the aircraft", Delta said.
Passengers continued their journey on a replacement aircraft shortly after.
According to CBS News, the plane is now grounded pending evaluations.
Delta told the broadcaster it was "supporting retrieval efforts and will fully cooperate in investigations".
