A zoo in Japan opened its latest attraction late last week – a swimming pool for elephants.
In footage from Associated Press, one of the zoo's resident Asian elephants can be seen swimming in the 65-metre-long pool, which is similar to the width of a river elephants might cross if they were living in the wild.
Glass panelling allows people to see how the animals paddle their legs underwater.
The elephants now eat far more after swimming three or four laps a day, staff at the zoo say.
