Police have shot a knife-wielding man following a confrontation at a Westfield mall in Sydney.
Emergency services were at the scene in the northern suburb of Hornsby.
Three bystanders have been wounded by police fire during the incident, and they have been taken to hospital. Police will now investigate the event.
Reports say the barefoot man yelled "Allahu Akhbar" before being shot.
