The 19-year-old who randomly attacked a couple in Florida in a cannibalistic rage was reportedly wearing a Make America Great Again cap when he did it.
Austin Harrouff, who police found chewing on the face of his male victim after the double murder, also posted several troubling videos online.
His YouTube channel contains the statement: "I've got a psycho side and a normal side. I've lost my mind help me find it."
Harrouff's concerned mother phoned police after her son angrily left a restaurant, worried about his strange behaviour and comments about being "a superhero".
Mina Harrouff told the emergency operator her son was carrying a pocket knife and wearing "a red hat... a Make America Great Again hat".
She didn't think her son would be a danger to himself or anyone else, but was very wrong.
Harrouff walked six-and-a-half kilometres from the restaurant to the home John Stevens and Michelle Mishcon, who he then stabbed to death, say police. He was biting into Mr Stevens' head and had to be subdued with a Taser and multiple officers.
Harrouff's Facebook page has been taken down, but his YouTube page remains active. On it are videos of him singing along to pop songs - including a disturbing freestyle to Chief Keef's 'Don't Like' - and giving bodybuilding advice.
The use of powerful designer drug Bath Salts is said to be a factor in Harrouff's deadly rage.
