A stranger has allegedly thrown a child from an 8m-high railroad bridge in the US.
A video posted by Facebook user Kaylub Fawley shows the child dropping from the Montesano, Washington, bridge into the river below as spectators gasp.
"This is a woman me and all my friends witnessed letting a 'stranger' throw her four-and-a-half-year-old son off the bridge yesterday into the water for fun," writes Mr Fawley.
"As soon as he hit the water, my heart sank," says Mr Fawley. "I felt so bad. I didn't know what to do."
The boy was not hurt in the fall, according to local TV news station KING 5.
Police are now investigating the boy's mother and a male acquaintance on charges of reckless endangerment. Washington Child Protective Services is also involved.
