A millionaire Sydney slumlord has been busted using his property to film his tenants naked and having sex.
Masaaki Imaeda, 66, already faced sentencing over owning a shanty town made from shipping containers and derelict caravans where 15 people nearly died after a fire.
However, this wasn't enough to stop his deviant impulses.
He set up a network of mirrors and hidden cameras inside bedrooms at his other rental property, all linked to a garden shed.
Inside his lair was a reclining chair facing a big screen television and multiple laptops connected to SD cards, where he recorded and viewed his tenants for his own sexual gratification.
His sex den was discovered when a young married couple found an online warning that Imaeda was installing hidden cameras in his bedrooms.
They searched the room and found a camera hidden in the ceiling. A camera was also uncovered hidden in another room inside a television - facing the bed of a young female student.
He pleaded guilty to three charges of installing or using an optical device without consent, adapted to the fabric of a building - and three charges of observing a person in private without consent to obtain sexual arousal.
He faces three years in prison.
