The mangled wreckage of dozens of cars has littered a motorway in Poland after two pile-ups combined to cause traffic chaos.
At least 32 people were injured and about 70 vehicles damaged in the pile-ups on Thursday on a two-kilometre stretch of Poland's A1 highway, about 140km south of Warsaw.
"The only thing you could hear was a bang when the vehicles hit one another," one driver told Reuters.
More than 100 police officers and 70 firefighters were called to the scene.
