A speech by French President Francois Hollande has been interrupted by a clumsy security guard literally shooting himself in the foot.
Another person standing nearby was hit in the leg by the shot, The Mirror reports.
Mr Hollande was speaking at the opening of a high-speed rail link between Paris and Bordeaux when the shot rang out.
Local media say the guard accidentally fired the gun after leaving the safety off.
Video shows the French President barely flinching when the gun fires, before carrying on with his speech.
