A UK woman who was filmed having sex with dogs at 'bestiality parties' has been spared jail, after claiming she was unaware it was illegal.
Police found footage of Penisoner Carol Bowditch having sex with a St Bernard, a black labrador and an Alsatian after her home was searched, The Mirror reported.
The 64-year-old's illicit activities were exposed after an investigation into a man organizing bizarre sex parties. Videos from the events were later posted on a bestiality-centric internet forum.
The case was brought before Lincolnshire Crown Court, where the court heard there were at least eight photographs and 30 videos of Ms Bowditch having sex with dogs.Included was an almost nine minute long video of Mrs Bowditch engaging in vaginal and oral sex with a St Bernard dog named Oscar.
Prosecutor Victoria Rose told the court that "when the DVD was analysed it was found to contain extreme images.
"Those images portrayed persons committing penetrative sexual acts with dogs.
"Also included were images of this defendant herself carrying out sexual activity."
But the Lincolnshire resident was spared jail after claiming she did not realise it was illegal.
Ms Bowditch was given a community order with 12 months supervision and a 16 week night-time curfew.
