More than 100 people are feared buried alive in a massive landslide in China.
The slip occurred at around 6am (local time) on Saturday in Maoxian County in China's Sichuan Province after heavy rain.
Chinese media reports that more than 40 homes in the village of Xinmo have also been swallowed by the disaster.
The Maoxian government said in a statement the houses were destroyed after part of a mountain collapsed.
Emergency response teams are battling to pull survivors from the debris.
Pictures posted to Twitter by the People's Daily newspaper shows the frantic search, as bulldozers move rock and earth aside.
Landslides are a continual threat in the mountainous parts of China, which have been hit by weeks of heavy summer rains.
