A woman in the Bronx, New York, has left $300,000 to her cats in her will.
The late Ellen Frey-Wouters left instructions that the money be used to ensure the cats, Troy and Tiger, would never be caged, and would be lovingly cared for.
Ms Frey-Wouters passed away in 2015, aged 88. Her husband died in 1989, and the couple's only child passed away as an infant.
Tiger has now retired to Florida to live with Ms Frey-Wouters former home health aide, Dahlia Grizzle.
"The cats were like her babies," Ms Grizzle said.
Tiger spends his days lounging on a faux-fur bed with silk lining and eating filet-mignon-flavoured Fancy Feast.
When the cats die, whatever is left of their trust fund will go to Ms Frey-Wouters' only living family member, a sister in the Netherlands.
The rest of Ms Frey-Wouters' $3 million estate was split between her home health aides, charities, and her lawyer.
