British authorities are investigating the death of a reptile enthusiast who may have been killed by his pet snake.
Daniel Brandon's body was found unresponsive in his parents' home in Hampshire, England on August 25 with "serious injuries".
One of the pet snakes, which kill its prey by constriction, was found outside its pen near the body.
It was determined that Mr Brandon was asphyxiated but investigators are waiting for the final report from a post-mortem to determine whether the snake caused the death.
Despite snake killings around the world, this would be the first time a snake has caused a death in England.
Mr Brandon was an avid wildlife fan who reportedly lived with a number of snakes including a large Burmese python he regularly posted pictures of himself with.
A JustGiving page has been set up to raise money for the World Wildlife Fund and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds in honour of him.
