A massive fire is burning through a Hamilton Heights apartment block as over 200 firefighters try to bring it under control.
The Fire Department of New York (FDNY) posted on Twitter on Saturday that there as an alert for a large fire at 565 W 144 St Manhattan.
Twitter users soon began sharing images of the fire and smoke billowing out of the building.
Video from the scene shows bystanders watching the blaze as it rages out of control on the top floor of the building.
The FDNY later posted on Twitter so say there were more than 200 firefighters at the scene.
Currently there are five reported injuries, four to firefighters and one to a civilian. The FDNY says they are non-life threatening.
