A horrific crash north of Adelaide has left one man dead and five others injured after his car collided with a truck carrying thousands of chickens.
The 42-year-old man died at the scene of the crash after his vehicle collided with the chicken truck on the Augusta Highway, 7 News Australia reports.
The driver of the truck was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with serious injuries after being pulled from flaming wreckage by a passer-by.
Four other occupants of the third vehicle were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Three-thousand chickens were also killed in the crash, according to reports.
