Barack Obama might be leaving New Zealand on Friday - but he can't leave his history behind.
The AM Show US entertainment correspondent Sam Rubin has told the show of the former US President's previous cannabis usage.
Mr Obama has previously admitted to his drug use, including cocaine as a teenager.
Speaking on Thursday, Rubin said he went to college with Mr Obama, who was known as a stoner.
"We had a quote-unquote 'stoner dormitory'," he told host Duncan Garner.
"He sort-of begrudgingly and laughingly would say that was the dorm that he never left. So I think he was kind of a layabout student."
