A UK mother-of-two claims an innocent photo of her children has captured a ghostly apparition.
Laura Watson and her family visited Plessey Woods Country Park in Northumberland, England on Monday (local time).
After enjoying a picnic and walking the dogs together, Mrs Watson's daughter Charlotte, 15, son Byrin, 9, and their 16-year-old cousin Jack came across a tall tree. They began climbing, while Mrs Watson snapped a few photos of the three having fun together.
However, when she looked closely at one of the photos she'd taken, she got a nasty shock.
Behind Byrin there seemed to be another child. The figure resembled a boy with pale skin and dark hair, standing right behind her son with his hand on his shoulder.
Mrs Watson told The Daily Mail she's certain there were no other children around the tree who could have snuck into frame behind Byrin.
"I would have seen them and I wouldn't have taken a picture with another kid behind him."
To those who say she must have Photoshopped the image, she says she "wouldn't even have a clue how to do anything like that".
"I'm rubbish with technology and I'm just not the kind of person to do that."
She says she's been "really freaked out" ever since noticing the boy in the photo, and some people have been sending her prayers via Facebook.
"Me and my daughter couldn't even go to sleep last night because we were so scared," she told The Daily Mail. "I was terrified in case anything had followed us back."
She's been told of a local legend that a young boy drowned in the River Blyth - which runs through Plessey Woods - and wonders whether it was his spirit that made its way into her photo.
Despite her fears, Ms Watson is keen to go back to the woods to see if she can detect any more paranormal activity. In just a few days, she's gone from a skeptic to a full-on believer in ghosts.
"I didn't believe in anything like that until I saw this for myself."
