A German zoo which reported some of its big cats had escaped during a storm now say the two lions and a pair of tigers never left their enclosures.
A search for the two lions, two tigers and a jaguar was launched after flooding in a town in western Germany.
Keepers lost track of the animals and reported them escaped, but they were later found in their enclosures with the help of a drone.
A bear that did manage to escape was shot dead.
"The bear posed a serious threat to the people in the vicinity the bear sadly had to be shot," Arzfeld Mayor Andreas Kuppert said.
