Meghan Markle's father claims his daughter broke down in tears when he told her he couldn't attend the Royal Wedding.
The Duchess of Sussex wed Prince Harry earlier this year on 19 May, with Thomas Markle giving an interview to Good Morning Britain.
The 73-year-old choked back tears, as he spoke about having to stay in the US.

"I feel bad that she put all that work in and I didn’t do it," he said. "But I couldn't do much about it laying on the couch with a bad heart."
Thomas Markle has also raised eyebrows, as he claims Prince Harry told him to give US President Donald Trump a chance.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle asked for understanding and respect for Thomas Markle following a report he would not attend the couple's wedding.
"This is a deeply personal moment for Ms Markle in the days before her wedding," Kensington Palace said in a statement at the time.
Earlier US celebrity website TMZ had said Thomas Markle would not be attending the wedding after it was reported he had staged photographs for a paparazzi photographer.
Thomas Markle told TMZ he would not be attending the wedding after suffering a heart attack.
