A woman has been arrested in New Delhi, India for poisoning food at a family event that killed five people, including four children.
The 28-year-old housewife admitted to the crime, telling authorities she was frustrated with constantly being mocked by her husband's family because of her dark skin and lack of cooking skills.
On Monday (local time), she was cooking food for a house-warming party and laced it with pesticide.
A 53-year-old man and four children between seven and thirteen years old died after consumption.
Senior police official Sanjay Patil said the crime was pre-meditated.
"She held a grudge against them and she had an intention to kill her in-laws and other relatives by mixing pesticide in the food."
Several other diners are still in hospital after eating the poisoned food.
The woman has been charged with murder and is due in court in coming weeks.
