A New Zealand family are believed to be victims of a triple homicide in Perth, Western Australia.

A 19-year-old male has been charged with the murder of a 48-year-old mother, her eight-year-old son and 15-year-old daughter in Ellenbrook, a suburb in north-east Perth.

The victims are also believed to be Kiwi, an Ellenbrook local told WA Today. The woman said "there are at least two kids" living at the house where the crime took place.

The crime has been described as "horrific".

The victims of the homicide haven't been identified by police yet, but a GoFundMe page has been started by someone who says they knew the mother.

"She was always good to me, always supported me, always made me feel like a better person," the page says.

Over $3000 has been raised so far, with a goal of $15,000 to help the family pay for and organise the funerals.

"Having been in the position where I've had to organise funerals before, I know how expensive that can be. I also know that her surviving children can't afford a funeral, or a casket, let alone 3!"

Western Australia police were called to a 7-Eleven convenience store in Ellenbrook at around 1:30am on Sunday (local time), after receiving a call from a 19-year-old, according to the WA Today interview.

After talking with the teenager, police were led to a nearby home where they discovered the crime scene, which included a dead male, a dead female, and a female with critical injuries who died on the way to hospital.

Western Australian Police Assistant Commissioner Steel said both the home and the convenience store were being investigated as crime scenes.

The New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said it has not been approached for consular assistance in relation to this incident.
