Australia's Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull fought off a leadership challenge, but now faces a daily battle for survival.
The 63-year-old called a snap leadership vote on Tuesday morning that saw dozens of his supporters abandon him for Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton.

On Wednesday, The AM Show host Duncan Garner described Mr Turnbull as a "dead man walking" - and Channel 7 political reporter Alex Hart said another spill could happen "as early as tomorrow".
"It's really a matter of days or weeks before Peter Dutton strikes again," he told Garner.
"Not like the history we've seen in the past, where you mentioned Kevin Rudd waiting for perhaps a year to really get in there and get a guerrilla campaign going and tear down the leader.
"Peter Dutton is hell bent on getting his hands on the top job here in Australia and his campaign has begun."
Mr Hart says Mr Dutton will be confident of getting the votes he needs to overthrow Mr Turnbull with a little more planning. If successful, it will make Mr Dutton the seventh Australian prime minister in 11 years.
"He really only needs seven more votes to switch to his side, and given this was a surprise ballot that the Prime Minister sprung upon him yesterday, to almost win that without really preparing much of the ground work before the vote is a pretty impressive effort," he says.
"I'm sure he is confident of getting the numbers he needs in the next couple of days to mount a challenge."
