A Texan woman has been caught on camera in a high-speed police pursuit, before crashing then taking off on foot with her baby in hand.
The Texas Department of Public Safety released the video of the incident, which took place in June.
A helicopter crew worked with police on the ground to stop the woman.
Police had signalled for the vehicle to stop when the woman fled at a high speed travelling at about 160kph, The Associated Press reports.
A tyre deflation device, deflated her front tyre before she rear ended another vehicle.
She jumped out of her truck, grabbed her child who was in its car seat and ran.
The woman attempted to hijack another vehicle that had a woman and child in it but, was stopped by police who surrounded the car.
The woman was arrested and charged with child endangerment, evading arrest and possession of a controlled substance.
Her child was taken to local Child Protection Services.
