Man plans orchestra flashmob for perfect marriage proposal

When it comes to choosing the place to propose, London's busiest train station probably wouldn't top many people's list.

But after months of planning one man managed to do it with full orchestral backing.

Adam Burroughs, 25, spent months planning how to propose to his childhood sweetheart, Mlayne Frost. With the help of Network Rail's station team, he managed to turn Waterloo Station into the most romantic place.

At first the happy couple were greeted by just one violinist, who appeared to be a busker. But then, more members of the orchestra began to appear, complete with violins, cellos and clarinets.

As the musicians formed a ring around the couple and played a mash-up of the Hallelujah Chorus from 'Handel's Messiah' and 'Just The Way You Are' by Bruno Mars'.

Then Adam got down on bended knee in front of the crowd and proposed to his love and she said yes.

"I've never been so nervous in my entire life! When we got to the station I was shaking. It wasn't that I thought she was going to say no, it was just the whole event, with all my family there - I thought I'd be alright but I wasn't, I was a wreck," Mr Burroughs told the East Anglican Daily Times.

"I looked at everyone, all my friends were crying and Mlayne was sobbing. When she said yes there was a massive cheer and there was lots of cuddles and handshakes."
