A teenage Russian is reportedly in hospital after accidentally shooting herself in the face while trying to take a selfie.
The 13-year-old Moscow girl took her father's rubber-bullet handgun and "out of carelessness, pulled the trigger, which resulted in an unexpected shot in the direction of her face" officials said, Russian news outlet Sputnik reported.
The accident reportedly happened on January 5.
The girl, who reportedly wanted to impress her friends, suffered serious facial injuries, including a fractured jaw.
The father owned the gun legally, but has been charged, with authorities saying it hadn't been stored safely.
