A woman in China who made her "ugly cat" undergo plastic surgery is being accused of animal abuse.
The Mirror UK reported the woman took her cat to have an eye operation after claiming its eyes were an "ugly" shape.

The cat is said to have undergone a double-eyelid operation where a crease was added to the eyelid to create the look of a monolid, according to The Mirror.
Jiangsu Television Station reported the surgery cost the woman 10,000 yuan (NZ$2,184).
Pictures released by the television station show the cat with fur shaved off its face revealing red, swollen looking eyes.
The Mirror reports that the animal hospital where the operation took place was not unfamiliar with these sorts of procedures, with many animal owners getting surgery for their pets to compete in shows.
They said since a report aired on Chinese television, the owner has faced heavy abuse on social media.
"I would go as far to say this is animal abuse - complete disregard for the poor cat's feelings," said one.
"It doesn't even look like the same cat anymore," said another.
Plastic surgery on pets is not uncommon, but generally reserved for medical, not cosmetic procedures.
