The ex-wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has pledged to donate half of her $37 billion wealth to charity.
MacKenzie Bezos received US$36.6b in the record-breaking divorce settlement. However, she said she plans to donate at least half of that money, after signing the 'Giving Pledge', which encourages rich people to donate their wealth to charity, CNN reports.

"I have a disproportionate amount of money to share," she said in a letter outlining her intentions.
Her former husband seems to be happy with her decision.
"Her letter is so beautiful," Jeff Bezos said on Twitter. "Go get 'em MacKenzie."
Last month, MacKenzie announced on Twitter she was "grateful" to have finished dissolving her marriage, and was happy to give up her shares and stock.
Jeff also posted to Twitter about his gratefulness towards MacKenzie, calling her "resourceful, brilliant and loving".
