Facebook and WhatsApp are facing major issues on Thursday morning, with photos and posts not loading for some users.
Website Down Detector reports issues at WhatsApp and Facebook have been felt in Europe, the United States and South America.
Instagram, which is also owned by Facebook, is also reportedly having problems.
Facebook acknowledged the issue in a Tweet.
"We’re aware that some people are having trouble uploading or sending images, videos and other files on our apps.
"We're sorry for the trouble and are working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible."
Users have reported pages will load, but specific posts or photos will not show, leading to frustrations for users, The Independent reports.
It's the second time in a year Facebook and WhatsApp have faced major technological troubles, after experiencing their longest ever outage in March.
The outage lasted for hours, causing major trouble for both the platforms and those who wanted to post on them.
"Our systems processed about 7.5 million problem reports from end users over the course of this incident. Never before have we such a large scale outage," Down Detector founder Tom Sanders told TechCrunch at the time.
