A woman's body has been found in a Sydney apartment, shortly after a man attempted to stab multiple people in the city's CBD.
Australian media are reporting the discovery of the body is related to the earlier incident, although no further details have surfaced.
The body was found inside a unit on Clarence St, around 3:15 today.
According to the Guardian, a woman was seen escorted out of the apartment block by police. She was not handcuffed and entered the back of an unmarked police car.Earlier in the afternoon, a man wielding a large knife through the city centre, at King and Clarence Streets, after allegedly stabbing a woman in a nearby hotel, and attempting to stab multiple other people.
The injured woman was taken to hospital in a stable condition, police said.
The man was eventually tackled by bystanders before being arrested by police.
