An Indian man has died after eating too many eggs during a bet with a friend.
Subhash Yadav collapsed after consuming 41 eggs while trying to complete the 50-egg challenge.
Yadav,42, was on his way to the Bibiganj market in Uttar Pradesh's Jaunpur district with his friend when the two began to argue, Gulf News reports.
To settle the argument, he was challenged by his friend to eat 50 eggs.
The winner would claim Rs 2000 (NZ$44).

Police said Yadav fell unconscious halfway through eating the next egg, Gulf News reported.
Following his collapse Yadav was taken to hospital, later being transferred to the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences where he died a few hours later.
Doctors told Gulf News Yadav died from complications from overeating a vast quantity of eggs.
The 50-egg challenge became popular after the egg-eating scene from the 1967 movie Cool Hand Luke where the character Luke Jackson, played by Paul Newman, eats 50 eggs in a row.
Yadav's family have not commented, said police.
