Authorities have found what is reported to be a half-buried body of a newborn baby at a property in New South Wales.
A worker found the body on Tuesday at 12:30, according to 9News.
"We've worked through a lot of witnesses, and a lot of people have been assisting us as part of the ongoing investigation," Inspector Peter O'Reilly of Coffs-Clarence Police District told The Coffs Coast Advocate.
Local media reported that residents were interviewed by police, and have found a 28-year-old woman, believed to be the baby's mother.
Police have said it is too early to determine whether the baby was stillborn.
A postmortem will reveal the gender, age, and cause of death.
