Terrifying footage of a fire truck engulfed by flames in New South Wales shows the frightening reality of the bush fire crisis.
The video, filmed by a firefighter, was posted online by the NSW Fire Department. It shows the firefighters travelling through blood-red bushland as embers fly across the windshield.
To the left of the truck is a wall of flame, slowly drawing closer.
The bushfire crisis in Australia shows no signs of abating. More than 100 fires are currently raging across the country.
Overnight two more people were confirmed to have died, bringing the total number of deaths to 11 since October.
On Tuesday thousands of people crowded on a beach in Mallacoota, East Gippsland as a wall of fire closed in on the town. Under crimson skies, the people were instructed to be ready to get into the water as the blaze drew closer.
Four people are missing in the fires and Victoria Premier Daniel Andrews told media there are "very real fears for their safety".
Up to 40 military personnel will assess the damage on Wednesday.
