A Los Angeles model has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Australian bushfires by sending naked photographs to her followers.
Kaylen Ward told her followers on Twitter on Saturday that she would send nudes to anyone who donated NZ$15 or more to fundraisers for the Australia wildfires.
"Every $10 you donate = one nude picture from me to your DM. You must send me confirmation that you donated," wrote the 20-year-old.
The post went viral, gaining more than 47,000 re-tweets and almost 100,000 likes. Ward told Buzzfeed News she hired a team of four people to help her sort through the thousands of messages she received.
Donations poured in - but the internet fame had implications for Ward's career as an Instagram model. Instagram disabled her account for violating its community guidelines, and copycat accounts are popping up to try and capitalise on the model's viral success.
"My IG [Instagram] got deleted, my family disowned me, and the guy I like won't talk to me all because of that tweet," she posted on Sunday.
"But f**k it, save the koalas."
On Monday, Ward tweeted again saying she had raised an estimated NZ$751,428 for bushfire relief.
"Guys I am crying, this is f***king crazy".
Commenters on her post are heralding her as a hero.
"Not all heroes wear capes, some wear nothing at all," wrote one woman.
Another said Ward was "literally doing more for Australia than their own prime minister".
"God is a woman," said one man.
