A man has driven his car through a crowd of protestors and shot a demonstrator in the arm at a Black Lives Matter protest in Seattle.
Footage of the incident, filmed from above, shows a black sedan being driven into the crowd before a group of protesters swarm the car.
The driver can then be seen pointing a gun through the window, before a man falls back and paramedics rush to his aid.
The man, in his late 20s, suffered a gunshot wound to his arm. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center where he was declared to be in a stable condition.
The demonstration was organised to call for an end to systemic racism in the US following the death of African-American man George Floyd.
"I see a car running down... I catch him, I punch him in the face," the wounded man can be heard saying in a video posted to Twitter.
"I hear the gunshot go off, in my arm. I move right in time when he reached up, but my whole thing was to protect those people. My whole thing was to protect those people down there."
Seattle Police have taken the shooter into custody and recovered the gun, according to reports.
