COVID-19: 'Bunnings Karen' strikes again, launches anti-mask tirade at Australia Post

A Melbourne woman who threatened to sue hardware giant Bunnings Warehouse over mandatory mask-wearing has reportedly struck again, this time at an Australia Post depot.

The woman went viral at the weekend after she posted a video on Facebook where she's heard telling Bunnings staff they were "discriminating" against her for asking her to wear a mask. Face masks are currently mandatory for Melbourne residents or risk a NZ$215 fine, due to a massive spike in COVID-19 cases.

Despite being slammed for her actions and Australians dubbing her "the Bunnings Karen", it doesn't appear to have stopped her in her tracks. According to news.com.au, the woman has now launched a tirade against Australia Post at one its Melbourne depots.

"I do not need a mask," the woman says as she approaches the counter. "If you could stamp that, that would be wonderful," she says in the video posted on Twitter.

She goes on to tell the Australia Post staff member, who is wearing a mask, he needed to update himself "on what the Department of Human Services has put on with regards to masks and who needs to wear them and who has the authorisation to actually ask for that evidence, because it's not you".

Despite being on the receiving end of her rant, the staff member calmly stamps her package before the video ends.

After the Bunnings video emerged at the weekend, Victoria Premier Daniel Andrews slammed "selfish" people for not wearing masks. It comes as the state of Victoria recorded 459 cases of COVID-19 on Sunday and 10 deaths.

"There are ten families that are going to be burying someone in the next few days," Andrews told reporters on Sunday.
