US President Donald Trump has praised far-right provocateur Laura Loomer, who won the Republican primary in Florida's 21st District.
Writing on Twitter, Trump said, "Great going Laura".
Loomer is likely to face an uphill fight against Democratic representative Lois Frankel during November's elections.
"You have a great chance against a Pelosi puppet!" Trump added, referring to House Speaker and Democrat Nancy Pelosi.
Facebook permanently banned Loomer from its platform last year and was barred from Twitter in 2018.
In March 2019, after the Christchurch mosque attacks, she wrote on messaging app Telegram that "nobody cares about Christchurch. I especially don't".
According to The Hill, she posted on Twitter in 2017 saying "Islam is cancer".
Twitter said Loomer's account would not be reinstated following her win in Florida.
"We do not plan to reverse that enforcement action," a spokesperson told The Hill.
