An unsuspecting teenager in Thailand was bitten on the end of his penis by a python when he sat on the toilet on Tuesday (local time).
Siraphop Masukarat, an 18-year-old university student living in Nonthaburi about 20km north of Bangkok, was using the bathroom when the non-venomous snake, found in Africa, Asia and Australia, attacked.
"I suddenly felt pain in my penis. I looked down and saw there was a snake hanging in the toilet. Then there was blood everywhere," Siraphop told the Daily Mail.
He was rushed to the nearby Bang Yai hospital where he received three stitches.
His mother had tried to calm him as they waited for an ambulance as the blood spurted from the bite.
She says he will never be able to use the bathroom again.
"He will be scared every time he goes [to the] toilet. But he's recovering well at the hospital and I'm thankful to the rescue volunteers for catching the snake," she said.
Pythons can grow up to 9.6 metres long, however this one was relatively small.
"It was only a small snake but its bite was so strong," the teenager explained. "I hope that my penis can recover."
