A woman from New Zealand has been found dead and with blood on her face in her home in Australia.
Brooke Tuhakaraina, 19, was discovered in her bed by a friend on Wednesday morning at around 7am just north of Perth, according to the Daily Mail Australia.
Tuhakaraina had been living and working in Western Australia for the past year as a wool handler before her death.
An emotional Dongra shearing contractor Mike Henderson said the teenager was found by a member of his staff in the home he rents to them.
"She was a wool handler, and a nice kid,’ Henderson told The West Australian through tears. "She was only 19 and she worked for me for a couple of months."
Neighbours told 7NEWS Tuhakaraina was very well-liked and had a bright future ahead of her.
Her family posted on Facebook saying: "It is with much sadness that we inform you of the passing of their daughter Brooke Tuhakaraina, 19 years old. We are all devastated at this time."
Police have set-up a crime scene around the property to try to distinguish how the death occurred, with neighbours saying the people who lived in the shared house were constantly "coming and going".
