President Donald Trump is considering running for the US presidency in 2024 if Democratic rival Joe Biden wins this year, a source has hinted.
Trump's former campaign advisor Bryan Lanza told BBC's Today he's in a good position to "run again four years from now".
If Trump runs again, "he will be younger than Joe Biden than his current bid for the presidency, so age isn't the issue," Lanza said.
Trump will be 78 if he runs for the White House again in 2024 - the same age as Biden if he is inaugurated in January.
"Biden will have the opportunity to guide this country out of COVID, and we'll see what his successes and failures are."
Should Trump lose a "very tight election", Lanza says he could "make a strong case to run again".
"And the Republicans would step aside to let it happen."
Under the US Constitution, the President could technically run again in 2024, as the 22nd Amendment only states that "no person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice".
The amendment does not say those two terms must be successive.
Joe Biden on Thursday said his team has "no doubt" he has won.
On Tuesday, the Democratic candidate launched a transition website to keep people informed of what he and his deputy Kamala Harris will do in the weeks following the election if they win.
