Police have launched a homicide investigation after four people were found dead at a Melbourne home on Thursday.
Victoria Police said officers were called to the property in the city's northwest at about 12:30pm (local time) after reports the four bodies had been found.
They said a man is assisting with their inquiries and there's no threat to the wider community.
"The exact circumstances around the incident are under investigation and we will provide more information when it's appropriate to do so," they said in a statement.
A crime scene has been set up and detectives from the homicide squad are at the home.
ABC reports there is a heavy police presence at the scene, with at least six police cars crowding the street, and the street itself has been cordoned off. Paramedics also visited the home.
Neighbours told the outlet the area is often relatively quiet with lots of young renters.
