A group of women who posed naked on a sky-rise balcony in Dubai are set to be deported, authorities confirmed.
Footage taken from a nearby building captured the women milling about on a sky-rise balcony in the nation which is known for having strict laws against public displays of affection.
The photos went viral over the weekend, leading to the women being arrested and charged by police who condemned the behaviour as "unacceptable".
"Dubai police warns against such unacceptable behaviours which do not reflect the values and ethics of the Emirati society."
On Wednesday (NZ time), Dubai's Attorney-General Issam Issa al-Humaidan said they had completed their investigation and had decided to deport those involved in the photoshoot.
AP reported the group included at least 11 Ukrainian women and potentially Russian citizens.
"The public prosecutor ordered the deportation of the accused for their behaviour contrary to public morals," al-Humaidan said.
He added that the group of women had been charged with violating the country’s public decency law.
