The body of a man reported missing just hours earlier has been found hanging upside down inside a dinosaur statue.
The 39-year-old hadn't been seen for a couple of days, The Guardian reported, before a father and son noticed a smell coming from the papier-mâché Stegosaurus in Santa Coloma de Gramenet, a satellite town of Barcelona, Spain.
A closer look revealed a crack in the herbivore's skin - and inside, the corpse.
"We found the body of a man inside the leg of this dinosaur statue," a police spokesperson said.
"It's an accidental death; there was no violence. This person got inside the statue's leg and got trapped."
Police believe somehow the man dropped his phone inside the statue.
"It looks like he entered the statue head-first and couldn't get out."
He was extracted by firefighters.
Just how he died is a job for the coroner to work out. The statue has been removed, BBC News reported.
