New South Wales has recorded another 1533 cases of COVID-19 and four more deaths.
None of those who died were vaccinated, health officials said on Saturday. They were three men and one woman, aged between their 50s and 80s.
The total number of deaths in the state's current outbreak is now 123, out of a total 179 since the start of the pandemic.
"I want to express my condolences to each of those people's families, friends, the passing of a family member or friend is always extremely sad and I really want to express the strong wishes to each of the community members who knew those people and just to say we're thinking of you," Health Minister Brad Hazzard said, urging people to get vaccinated as soon as they could.
"Sadly, none of the four people who passed away were vaccinated."
It's the worst day for the state yet, beating Friday's 1417 cases.
Of the new cases, a third were in western Sydney, and another third from the southwest - but the outbreak appears to be spreading further geographically.
"NSW Health's ongoing sewage surveillance program has recently detected fragments of the virus that causes COVID-19 at sewage treatment plants across NSW," the agency said.
Earlier, one new case was reported in Queensland - a four-year-old girl, a close contact of a truck driver who tested positive earlier in the week.
Australia to date has had 1032 deaths from COVID-19 - a number that will likely keep on rising for the foreseeable future.
