On Tuesday the United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson faced a number of questions but in the end it all boiled down to one: will you resign?
Johnson was accused by opposition parties for coming up with ludicrous excuses for attending the now regrettable party at Downing Street during lockdown.
When The House of Commons came to questioning the prime minister, a barrage of politicians asked if he would resign. Among the ambush was one of his own, a former cabinet colleague.
"You have sat there for too long for all the good you have done. In the name of God, go."
After Johnson first denied there were any parties at Downing Street during lockdown, the Prime Minister then admitted he attended one but didn't know it was a party.
Now Johnson claims no one told him it was against the rules.
"As he weighed through the empty bottles and platters of sandwiches and he didn't realise it was a party, does the Prime Minister realise how ridiculous that sounds?" the opposition leader said.
That statement led to one Tory MP to walk across the house in dramatic fashion to sit behind the opposition leader.
Johnson didn't back down though, he referred to his Governments records on running the economy, fighting crime and rolling out the vaccine.
Johnson refused to resign until the official investigation into the controversy is complete.
But some aren't willing to wait, Conservative MPs are becoming more disgruntled edging closer to the number 54 that would trigger a leadership challenge.
