An Australian teenager has been fatally stabbed in the chest during what may have been a gang-fuelled fight at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
On Monday, 17-year-old Uati 'Pele' Faletolu was on his break from working at the show when he became involved in a confrontation that turned deadly when one man pulled out a knife.
Confronting social media footage shows paramedics trying to save Faletolu's life but he passed away on the way to the hospital.
Another teenager was treated in hospital for a knife wound to the leg.
According to the Daily Telegraph, police believe the brawl wasn't a random attack but instead a planned confrontation between two groups believed to be rival postcode gangs in Sydney's west.
Faletolu was from Doonside with the postcode 2767 and the people behind his death are believed to be from Mt Druitt with the postcode 2270.
The postcode war is becoming a widespread issue across Sydney, with groups usually consisting of teenagers risking their lives to 'rep' the area they are from.
The outlet reported Faletolu's 15-year-old relative has been charged with carrying a knife in public but not charged over the death, and the suspect remains "at large".
"We believe that there is someone who we still need to identify that is responsible for the stabbing," Superintendent Danielle Emerton said.
"It may be one person, it may be a number of people."
The 15-year-old was granted bail on Tuesday and has been ordered to comply with a curfew.
A memorial has been held for the teenager and many people have taken to social media to share their condolences.
The sister of Faletolu's girlfriend recently confirmed on Instagram that her sibling was pregnant with his baby.
"Can’t wait to meet you," the post said. "The rumours are true. My beautiful sister has been blessed with his baby. Congratulations big sis with you every step of the way."
One of Faletolu's friends said it was his biggest goal to become a dad.
